Ryan Palmer Has been in the Engineering/Survey industry for over 30 years as a Drafter and Survey technician.
He is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology Geomatics department and The University of Manitoba Computer Science.
He is Skilled and trained in Legal Survey, Drone Surveying and Processing. He has worked on projects across Canada in that time with different Companies.
Carson Warkentin
Carson Warkentin is a senior surveyor with 7 years of diverse experience, including the past 5 years at Rivacore. His expertise spans a wide range of sectors, including commercial and residential buildings, powerlines, pipelines, mining, bathymetry, roadways, and drone surveying. Carson has successfully contributed to projects of all sizes across Canada, demonstrating exceptional skill and adaptability in every endeavor.

Andrew Formela
Andrew Formela is a Senior Surveyor at RivaCore Construction Surveys. Andrew has significant experience across the heavy construction industry. He has become a specialist in powerline projects across Canada, helping run transmission projects valued at $200 million. Some of the major transmission projects he has worked on include the Manitoba-Minnesota Transmission Project (MMTP) and the Chatham to Lakeshore Powerline (CxL). Other significant projects include the Royal Aviation Museum and Winnipeg Richardson International Airport Apron expansion. With hundreds of hours of drone operations experience, as well as expertise in bathymetric surveying and utility locating, Andrew is known for his precision, efficiency, and strong communication skills. Often relied upon heavily by project managers, he excels in managing field crews and overseeing projects to ensure successful outcomes.

Martin Formela

Steve Davis
My name is Steve Davis, I am a Senior Surveyor/Crew Chief that has been in the
industry for 16 plus years. Over the years I have been relied heavily upon to run and
complete many multi million-dollar jobs. With my experience that has been obtained
over the years, I have developed great communication and organizational skills with
project management. This making me a vital role in the operation and completion of the
project. My expertise is in the heavy-duty construction field, having overseen all facets
of the project from the survey data pick-up/design to the final product and all the in
between. Working hand in hand with the project management team to manage
timelines, cost, quantities, and staff efficiently.
A small portion of the high budget projects that I have been a part of have been: The
Manitoba Floodway Expansion Project, Emerson border crossing and Thompson airport
runway renewals, hundreds of highway/road/parking lot/sewer and water projects, and
the Chatham-Lakeshore powerline distribution project.


Rayan Palmer
Brayden Malvern
Project Manager,Locates
Brayden began his career shortly after graduating from Red River College’s Geomatics program. He spent the first two years of his career working with a legal land surveyor, followed by another two years in Alberta, where he gained valuable experience surveying in the oil fields. During this time, Brayden developed expertise in locating, a skill he later brought back to Manitoba.
Upon returning to Manitoba, Brayden joined a survey company with a newly established locating division. It was here that he discovered his passion for utility locating, which became the foundation of his career. Over the past seven years, Brayden has developed extensive experience in utility locating, working with both oil and gas sectors as well as private and public utility companies.
In July 2024, Brayden joined Rivacore to help launch their new locating division. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and proficiency in locating major pipelines and various utility systems, making him a key asset to the team.

Sukh Mahal
Project Manager,Locates
Sukh has nearly a decade of industry experience, demonstrating exceptional expertise across multiple high-value projects. His extensive knowledge spans various specialized services, including hydro vac, sewer CCTV inspections, public and private utility locates, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), all of which he has applied in numerous locations across Ontario. Sukh's ability to manage a team of locators is a testament to his leadership skills, which are grounded in his personal, hands-on field experience. This unique combination of technical know-how and practical leadership has enabled him to consistently deliver high-quality results while maintaining efficiency and safety in every project he undertakes.

With over 20 years of industry experience in the line locating and oilfield industry, Travis brings extensive expertise, executive-level leadership, and a proven track record in driving business growth. In 2009, he founded an oilfield maintenance and line locating company, successfully managing its operations before relocating to Manitoba in 2017. Travis went on to manage a locate company in Winnipeg for six years, excelling in high-level sales and spearheading significant expansion into Alberta and Ontario.
Since joining Rivacore in July 2024, he has continued to leverage his strategic mindset and sales acumen to deliver exceptional results and foster industry-leading innovation.
